Independent placement support

aspenpreceptor.com is an independent preceptor-matching and field-experience service.

Throughout this site, the word "Aspen" identifies the student population we serve, nursing students enrolled in Aspen University programs such as the BSN, RN-to-BSN, MSN, RN-to-MSN, and DNP. All references to Aspen University programs, courses, offices, and requirements are provided for the convenience of those students.

Aspen University is the authoritative source for its own programs and policies. Where our descriptions differ from the university’s current published materials, the university’s information governs, and you should rely on it.

Accreditation

Aspen University’s BSN, MSN, and DNP nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and the institution is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a national/distance accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and CHEA.

aspenpreceptor.com holds neither of these accreditations. We are an independent service and make no accreditation claim of our own. The accreditation statements above describe Aspen University, not us.

We assist, we do not guarantee

Our role is to assist you in finding a qualified, specialty-matched preceptor and an approved field-experience site, in person or virtual, and to help you navigate Aspen’s process. We do not guarantee placement, approval, or any specific outcome.

Securing and documenting your placement remains your responsibility and is subject to Aspen University’s requirements. Site and preceptor approval, required forms, and your Practicum Approval Letter are handled through Aspen’s Office of Field Experience and its hours-approval process, not by us. You should always confirm current requirements directly with Aspen before relying on anything here.

Requirements vary by program and specialty. Review the details for your path, MSN specialties, the RN-to-MSN track, RN-to-BSN field experience, or the DNP immersion, and verify them with the university.

How we help

With those limits clearly stated, here is what we do: we work to source a real preceptor and an approved site matched to your specialty, and we can arrange a virtual practicum option as well. Aspen leaves the search to the student, and that search can drag on for months, that is the gap we help close.

You pay only when we match you with a preceptor. To get started, find a preceptor or contact us with your program and specialty.
