Terms of Service

These Terms explain what aspenpreceptor.com does, what we promise, and what we don’t. We’ve kept them plain. By using this site or asking us to help with your placement, you agree to what’s written here.

Who we are

aspenpreceptor.com is an independent placement-assistance service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Aspen University, and we are not its Office of Field Experience (OFE). We are also not an accreditor, Aspen’s BSN, MSN, and DNP nursing programs are CCNE-accredited and the university is institutionally accredited by DEAC, and we are neither.

What we do is help Aspen nursing students, across the BSN, RN-to-BSN, MSN, RN-to-MSN, and DNP programs, find a qualified, specialty-matched preceptor and an approved field-experience site, and walk you through Aspen’s process. We offer two service pillars for every program: sourcing a real preceptor and an approved in-person site, and a virtual practicum service with a remote preceptor.

Assistance, not a guarantee

This is the most important term, so we’ll say it plainly: we assist, we do not guarantee. We work to match you with a preceptor and site, but securing a placement depends on factors outside our control, including site availability, preceptor qualifications, and Aspen’s own approvals.

Aspen’s Office of Field Experience likewise assists rather than guarantees, and students remain responsible for securing their own placement. We make that genuinely easier; many students otherwise spend months searching, but you are still responsible for your enrollment, your coursework, and meeting Aspen’s requirements.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate information about your program, specialty, and location so we can match you well. You remain responsible for completing Aspen’s required steps, including the forms that lead to your Practicum Approval Letter, the Practicum Site Agreement, Preceptor Agreement, Student Profile, and Student Performance Evaluation, which must be obtained before your practicum course begins.

You are also responsible for logging your hours in ProjectConcert and meeting your program’s requirements, whether that’s an MSN specialty practicum, RN-to-BSN community-health field work, or DNP immersion hours and IRB approval. We can guide you, but we cannot complete Aspen’s academic requirements on your behalf.

No professional or legal advice

Information on this site is general and educational. It is not legal, academic, or licensing advice, and it does not replace Aspen’s official handbooks, your program advisor, or the OFE (ofe@aspen.edu). Where program details matter, confirm them directly with Aspen.

We work to keep our information accurate and specific to Aspen, but program structures and requirements can change. If something on the site conflicts with Aspen’s current official guidance, follow Aspen.

Payment, changes, and contact

Our model is simple: you pay when you’re matched. We don’t charge you to begin the search. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

If you have a question about these Terms or about how our service works, please contact us or read our FAQ. Ready to stop searching on your own? Tell us your program and specialty and we’ll start matching you with a qualified preceptor and an approved site, and you only pay when we’ve made the match.
