Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain language, what information aspenpreceptor.com collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are an independent preceptor-matching service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Aspen University.

Who we are

aspenpreceptor.com is an independent service that helps Aspen University nursing students, across the RN-to-BSN, MSN, RN-to-MSN, and DNP programs, find a qualified, specialty-matched preceptor and an approved field-experience site, in person or virtual. We are not Aspen University, and we are not its Office of Field Experience. Aspen’s own field-experience contact remains ofe@aspen.edu. You can read more about us on our about page.

Because our entire job is to plan and arrange a placement for you, we need to collect a small amount of information to do that work. This policy describes exactly what that is and how we handle it.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to help you. That falls into two simple categories.

Contact information, your name, email address, and phone number, so we can reach you to discuss your placement.

Program information, the details you share about your studies, such as your Aspen program (for example RN-to-BSN, MSN, RN-to-MSN, or DNP), your specialization if you are in an MSN track, your location and the type of site you are seeking, and whether you would prefer an in-person or virtual practicum. This is the information you choose to provide when you contact us or complete a form.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us for one purpose: to help arrange your field experience. Specifically, we use it to understand your program and specialty requirements, to plan and source a specialty-matched preceptor and an approved site, and to contact you about your placement and answer your questions.

We do not use your information to make decisions on Aspen’s behalf, and we do not control Aspen’s approval process. Securing and approving your site and preceptor ultimately runs through Aspen’s own process and documentation; you can read how that works on our practicum approval and Office of Field Experience pages.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We share your details only as needed to do the work you asked us to do, for example, when coordinating with a prospective preceptor or site on your behalf, and only to the extent necessary to arrange your placement.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of the information you share with us. You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also opt out of further contact at any time, just let us know and we will stop reaching out.

To make any of these requests, contact us and we will help.

In short, you can ask us to:

  • See the contact and program information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate
  • Delete your information
  • Stop contacting you

Ready to get matched

Aspen leaves the preceptor search to the student, and that search can drag on for months. We do that legwork for you, sourcing a specialty-matched preceptor and an approved site and walking you through Aspen’s process. We assist; we never guarantee placement. And you only pay when you are matched.

When you are ready, find a preceptor or reach out with your questions.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell or share my information?

No. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your details only as needed to arrange the placement you asked us to help with, such as coordinating with a prospective preceptor or site, and only to the extent necessary.

What information do you actually collect?

Just two things: your contact information (name, email, phone) and the program information you choose to share, your Aspen program, specialization, location, site preference, and whether you want an in-person or virtual placement.

Are you affiliated with Aspen University?

No. aspenpreceptor.com is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Aspen University. Aspen’s own field-experience contact is ofe@aspen.edu.

Can I ask you to delete my information or stop contacting me?

Yes. You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the information we hold, and you can opt out of further contact at any time. Just contact us and we will help.
